Poacher in Tuzly Estuaries Caused 8 Million Hryvnias in Damage to the State.
According to inkorr.com: In the Odesa region, law enforcement officers detained a poacher who was illegally fishing in the Tuzly Estuaries National Nature Park. According to preliminary data, his actions caused damage to the state amounting to over 8 million UAH, reports 'Glavkom' referring to the State Border Guard Service.
Detention of the Poacher
As reported by the border guards, during a raid on Lake Alibey, law enforcement officers detained a resident of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. He was illegally fishing using nets without any permits. At the time of his detention, the poacher had already caught 439 mullets.
The fishing gear and caught biological resources were confiscated. The offender may be held criminally responsible under Part 1 of Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to 'illegal occupation of fishing, hunting, or other resource extraction.'
Attack on Odesa Region
Moreover, on the night of September 10, the Odesa region came under attack from the occupiers. According to information from the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the Izmail district was targeted, reports 'Glavkom.'
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, confirmed that the enemy attacked the Izmail district using strike drones, targeting warehouses and farm buildings. Preliminary data suggests there were no casualties.
Thus, two significant events occurred in the Odesa region: the detention of a poacher who caused considerable damage to the state and the attack by the occupiers in the Izmail district, which fortunately did not result in any injuries.
