The clarified procedure for reserving military personnel during martial law
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported that all critically important enterprises must confirm their status. The Cabinet of Ministers clarified the procedure for reserving military personnel during martial law. Starting December 1, reservations will be made through the 'Diia' portal.
Starting from December 1, the reservation of military personnel will again be carried out through the 'Diia' portal. According to the new criteria, all critically important enterprises must confirm their status by February 28, 2025.
The government conducted an audit of decisions regarding the definition of critically important enterprises last week. It was found that 95% of critically important enterprises retained their status, but violations were identified.
The Deputy Minister of Economy Vitalii Kindratov reported that the government discovered minor violations and is ready to make changes to correct them. The new parameters for reservations and the criticality of enterprises will become clearer and ensure a balance between the country's defense capability and the economy.
He noted: 'Enterprises that have been found to have violations have lost their status as critically important, and the employees of these enterprises are demobilized. We also improved the criteria for the criticality of enterprises at the sectoral and regional levels. Reservations should only be made for those who make a real contribution to the economy and have a legal right to do so.'
The Cabinet of Ministers published a new order for reservations from mobilization, according to which deferrals issued by the Ministry of Economy and through the 'Diia' portal will lose their validity on February 28, 2025.
The Ministry of Defense plans to implement new mechanisms and stop forcibly involving citizens in military service.
Ukraine plans to mobilize 160,000 persons, but experts and officials express doubts about achieving this goal and consider it more realistic to expect a call-up of up to 100,000 persons. Over the last two months, 98% of summonses were received by citizens who do not pay taxes and are not registered as employed anywhere.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated the need to continue mobilization in Ukraine in 2025.
