End of mobilization: Umierov explained how mobilization will change in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to make significant changes to the mobilization system for conscripts. This was announced by the head of the department Rustem Umierov during a briefing on November 18, 2024.
According to him, the reform involves abandoning the forced involvement of citizens in military service and introducing new mobilization mechanisms. Special attention will be paid to the development of digital tools and expanding options for citizens' conscious choice.
'We prioritize the defense of the country, but we also seek to move away from painful issues for the population,' emphasized Umierov, adding that relevant proposals will soon be considered by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Deputy Minister of Defense Chernogorenko announced plans to transform the 'Reserve+' system into a nationwide recruiting center. From next year, conscripts will not have to visit the TCK for registration.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky had already emphasized the importance of changes in the mobilization system, particularly pointing out the insufficient number of mobilized individuals. People's Deputy Yuriy Kamelchuk also expressed his opinion on the need to dissolve the TCK due to their inefficiency.
