The head of GUR spoke about the consequences of actions to support the captives
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, General Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with Anna Maximchuk spoke about the potential consequences of actions to support the captives. According to him, while he understands the desire of Ukrainians to bring their relatives back, most of these actions cause harm. He emphasized that such support has mainly a psychological effect and does not help to solve the problem. Meanwhile, Budanov noted that the Russian army does not plan to significantly reduce its forces, as this does not correspond to the Kremlin's strategy. Currently, a significant part of the Russian military budget is spent on payments for military personnel.
