Forecasters warned about frosts up to 15 degrees this winter in Ukraine.
According to ТСН: Ukraine has such a geographical and climatic location that weather conditions can vary significantly, especially over the last few decades. However, one should not exclude the possibility of severe frosts in winter.
Weather forecast
Forecaster Natalia Ptuha announced this in an interview with "24 Channel".
"During the winter, there may even be one period lasting 10 — 20 days with a minimum temperature ranging from 5 to 15 degrees. And, of course, during this time, if huge fronts come, a snow cover may form. But given that we have a tendency for processes to change radically, this snow will most likely be unstable and will melt," she said.
According to the forecaster, this year it is expected that the temperature during the winter months will be 1.5 — 2 degrees higher, and in December it will exceed the norm by 2 degrees.
"We must not forget that during the cold period, weather conditions may undergo quite sharp changes — not lasting, but noticeable. Therefore, cold snaps, precipitation of varying intensity and duration, as well as dangerous natural phenomena are possible," she added.
Earlier, forecasters also reported predictions for winter in Ukraine. Whether to expect weather surprises remains an open question.
Thus, Ukrainians should be prepared for various weather phenomena during the winter season. As Natalia Ptuha noted, changes in temperature and precipitation can be quite sharp, so it is important to monitor current forecasts and safety rules under possible bad weather conditions.
