Klitschko went on vacation for 5 days: how Kyiv residents assessed this decision.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, decided to take a five-day vacation. However, not all residents of the capital supported the decision of the head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
What do Kyiv residents think about Klitschko's vacation
In a survey by Novyny.LIVE, Kyiv residents expressed their opinions on whether it is appropriate for the mayor to leave his position.
'This is inappropriate. There is trouble in the country, and he went on vacation. And it seems to me that not only Klitschko went on vacation,' commented a Kyiv resident.
'I have a very negative attitude towards this because I haven't been on vacation for a long time. I think there are more important matters than going on vacation,' said a girl.
However, there are also those who supported Klitschko. Some respondents believe that the mayor also has the right to a short break, despite the war.
'People need to rest. In his position, he should have found some alternative to his vacation. He has been in this position for a long time, and I am sure he has a good team to whom he could delegate some matters. Probably, he is still in touch,' shared a Kyiv resident's thoughts.
It is worth noting that due to Vitali Klitschko's vacation, a meeting of the Kyiv Security Council did not take place.
Moreover, it became known that several officials of the Kyiv City State Administration have been notified of suspicions. In particular, as reported by sources from Novyny.LIVE, a suspicion was announced against Klitschko's chief of staff, Dmytro Zahumenyi.
The vacation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has caused controversial reactions among Kyiv residents. Some believe he has the right to rest, and this is normal, while others are convinced that in difficult times of war and crisis, the city's leader should not let go of the helm. At the same time, some events in Kyiv took place without the participation of the mayor, and it became known about the announcement of suspicions against several officials. Klitschko's vacation became a reason for discussing the effectiveness of the city's governance under the complex situation in the country.
