Conscripts with deferment from conscription or reservation are not subject to medical examination by the military medical commission, except for certain cases.
According to the , among the individuals in a special position are those who:
- enter into contract service;
- have limited civilian capacity and have not undergone a repeated medical examination (except for the disabled);
- wish to voluntarily attend the medical commission.
It is also worth noting that previously a lawyer explained if a person has a reservation at work.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine clarified that individuals who have military obligations but have deferment or reservation may be exempt from medical examination by the military medical commission if they meet certain criteria or wish to independently undergo examination.
