Will Soldiers from DPRK Bring Victory to Putin? Austin's Response.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that Vladimir Putin will not succeed in winning the war in Ukraine, even with the help of soldiers from the DPRK. He also noted that the US and their partners are discussing possible response options to this situation.
The minister urged the Kremlin to change its course and emphasized that the US understands the consequences of this conflict for regional security. He also fears that the involvement of North Korean military in Russia could lead to an escalation of the conflict.
Austin did not disclose details regarding the steps the US intends to take in response to this situation, but noted that this fact causes serious concern. He also stressed that Russia violated UN Security Council resolutions and provided military assistance to North Korea.
It was previously reported that a small number of DPRK soldiers are already on the territory of Ukraine. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte also confirmed this information and stated that these troops are deployed in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. President Zelensky also said that in the near future, Russia will deploy the first DPRK troops in combat zones.
According to intelligence data, North Korea's military reserves allow it to conduct military operations for three months. However, there are doubts about the quality and experience of these troops, as they consist of young soldiers. Factories in North Korea are operating at full capacity to supply Russia with weapons.
