Will Russia manage to build protection for the Kerch Bridge before winter? Answer from the Naval Forces.

Russia has started the construction of a "mysterious structure," attempting to cover the Kerch Bridge, but it is unlikely to complete this construction this season as the storm period is beginning, making it very difficult to build anything under such conditions. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during a television marathon.

According to Pletenchuk, it is currently unclear what the Russians are building, but it is most likely that they will not be able to accomplish this in this season because the storm period is starting.

Accordingly, building anything under such conditions will be very difficult. This could be a protective structure, another passage, but it is still a bit early to draw conclusions. Let's see how they go through this period, which starts in autumn and ends in spring. They are constantly trying to place and build something new in the Kerch Strait. Previously, Pletenchuk reported that the Crimean Bridge is being maximally protected by the Russians despite the fact that there are practically no maritime components for its defense. Dmytro Pletenchuk added that the Russians are building various hydraulic engineering structures, pontoons, barges and other unclear constructions along the bridge.

It has recently become known that the Russian occupiers have placed a rare modification of the "Pantsir" air defense system directly on the Crimean Bridge. The air defense system's photos were also published on the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind", which showed the air defense system on critical infrastructure. Satellite images confirm that the "Pantsir" system has been on the bridge for at least a month, indicating a long-term strategy to protect this route from potential strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
