What the Ukrainian F-16s are equipped with: analysts pointed out an important nuance.
Ukrainian F-16 fighters are equipped with a system that allows them to counter missile attacks from Russia. This was reported by the portal "Militarny".
Using a video published on the official pages of the President of Ukraine on the web, analysts managed to identify Terma PIDS+ pylons with an early warning system for missile attacks.
These pylons were ordered by Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium for their F-16s in 2018. All these countries were to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, so it is impossible to say from which country the plane shown today originated.
"This early warning system for missile attacks provides a significant improvement to the F-16's self-defense system, as it allows the aircraft to detect and counter attacking missiles in advance," explained the analysts.
