Head of the Migration Service divorced due to declaration: details of the scandal.
The head of the Migration Service of Khmelnytskyi region divorced due to a declaration
According to inkorr.com: Oleh Pankov, who heads the State Migration Service in Khmelnytskyi region, has ended his marital relationship with his wife against the backdrop of a scandal related to his declaration. This situation occurred at the end of April this year when the court made a decision to dissolve the marriage.
The National Agency for Corruption Prevention discovered false information in Pankov's declaration amounting to a total of 27.8 million UAH. During the investigation, it was revealed that he did not disclose his wife's assets and other important financial details, which led to the divorce.
"In November 2023, the Pankov family, along with their children, vacationed in a luxury hotel in Lviv region"
Moreover, the NACP was unable to confirm the legality of a significant amount of money stated in the declaration, which served as the basis for initiating a criminal proceeding. Law enforcement officers are also checking the acquisition of 2023 Audi cars by Pankov's wife, which raised additional questions.
Oleh Pankov has held the position of head of the State Migration Service in Khmelnytskyi region since 2012. Currently, there is a decline in the number of submitted declarations by employees of this service, which may indicate an increase in control over financial reporting in Ukraine.
This situation in Khmelnytskyi region, where the head of the migration service divorced due to financial difficulties, confirms that Ukrainian anti-corruption bodies are closely monitoring transparency and openness in government institutions.
