In Kharkiv, the court issued a verdict in the case of a patient from a rehabilitation center who set fire to two trucks to keep warm and was sentenced.
This is stated in the court ruling published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
Details of the case
On the night of January 17, a man with no official job set fire to two trucks, both of which caught fire. One vehicle was a GAZ 33021, and the other was a Renault Master truck.
The court noted that the car owners suffered material damages amounting to 136,147 hryvnias.
Court's decision
The Kholodnogirskyi District Court of Kharkiv found the defendant guilty of deliberate arson and sentenced him to three and a half years in prison. The man is also required to reimburse the state 64,755 hryvnias for conducting examinations.
Recently, in Khmelnytskyi, a Russian agent was given a severe punishment for attempting to prepare terrorist attacks near military recruitment offices and the National Guard. Also, in Chernivtsi, a man was imprisoned for falsely reporting bomb threats to educational institutions.
According to the court's ruling, the patient from the rehabilitation center in Kharkiv was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for setting fire to two trucks. He is also required to reimburse the state for the costs of the examination.
