Men aged 50-60 are subject to mobilization on general terms – Volyn TCC.

The press service of the Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center reported that there is no prohibition on mobilizing men aged 50 to 60 in Ukraine. The order regulating the mobilization procedure for this age group is for official use only and does not cancel the draft for such men.

The main message is stated as follows: "Men aged 50 to 60 in our country are mobilized according to the established procedure. If such citizens meet the requirements, they are subject to mobilization on general terms to perform tasks related to state defense."

The press service also emphasized that during mobilization, special attention is paid to the health status, military specialty, and previous experience of individuals over 50 years old. The law on military service during the mobilization of individuals under 25 was also adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.

However, according to The Times, Ukraine's intention to mobilize 200,000 recruits by the end of 2024 may become complicated due to the decreasing number of conscripts and growing resistance among the population. Some partners also want to understand why Ukraine does not lower the mobilization age. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, noted that demobilizing servicemen under 25 could lead to a collapse on the front line.
