Customs Day in Ukraine: History of the Holiday, Greetings in Prose, Verses, and Postcards.
Today, June 25, 2025, Ukrainians celebrate Customs Day. This holiday highlights the important role of the customs service in ensuring the economic security and sovereignty of the country. The history of this holiday reflects the history of the development of the Ukrainian customs system.
The celebration of Customs Day began in 1991 with the adoption of the Law 'On Customs Affairs', which marked the beginning of the creation of a modern and independent customs system in Ukraine. Since 1992, this holiday has been officially established by a presidential decree and has been celebrated annually on June 25. Customs officers deserve our gratitude for their diligent work and achievements in the fight against smuggling and the protection of national interests.
At the international level, World Customs Day is celebrated on January 26, associated with the first session of the Customs Cooperation Council in 1953. Today we celebrate the professional holiday of customs officers who stand guard against smuggling and violations of customs regulations. We wish that your work is always highly valued and brings only positive results!
Customs Day in Ukraine is celebrated as recognition of the importance of their role in ensuring the country's economic security, as well as gratitude for their work in combating smuggling and violations of customs regulations.
