Operation on the Oleksandrivka Axis

According to UATV: Ukraine’s 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces carried out a successful operation on the Oleksandrivka axis, destroying a full Russian battalion. Troops from the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade eliminated 500 Russian soldiers, significantly degrading the enemy’s combat readiness.

Following the operation, Ukrainian defenders reported severe disruptions to Russian military logistics. The enemy is now forced to operate in small infantry groups, as supplying forward positions has become extremely difficult. Supplies, including food, are being delivered primarily by drones—a clear sign that traditional supply routes have been compromised.

To give context for international readers: The Oleksandrivka direction is a key sector in eastern Ukraine where Russian forces have been attempting to advance. This victory marks a major setback for their efforts in the area.

Russian Losses Mount

This operation comes amid heavy recent losses for Russian forces. On June 29, Ukraine’s defense forces eliminated 1,350 Russian occupiers. Among the equipment destroyed during the fighting were:

  • one tank
  • six armored vehicles
  • 71 artillery systems
  • one air defense system

These figures underscore the effectiveness of Ukrainian military efforts in countering the invasion.

The success of Ukrainian forces on the Oleksandrivka axis highlights their growing ability to weaken Russian units through targeted operations. The logistical difficulties now facing the enemy could lead to further complications in supplying and maintaining Russian combat readiness. Such outcomes not only boost Ukrainian morale but also hinder Russian offensive capabilities, potentially shifting the broader strategic situation on the front line.
