According to Novyny.live: On July 1, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated a Russian Kh-59 guided missile and 130 unmanned aerial vehicles. That day, Russian troops launched:

  • 151 drones;
  • one Kh-59 guided air-to-surface missile;
  • one Iskander-M ballistic missile.

Launch sites included Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region, and the Hvardiiske district in Crimea.

Frontline Situation

Over the same period, 17 attack drones breached Ukrainian airspace, resulting in impacts at 16 locations. Additionally, drone debris fell at four sites. Shelling in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast destroyed five gas stations, killing one person and injuring three others.

Separately, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a successful strike on a space communications center in Moscow Oblast. These events underscore the ongoing escalation of the conflict and the heightened military activity on both sides. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to counter aerial threats, largely due to the effective performance of its air defense systems.

The situation at the front remains tense as both sides intensify military operations and shelling. The increased frequency of drone and missile launches indicates that the conflict is still escalating, posing serious risks to civilians and infrastructure. Ukraine’s response to these threats highlights the critical role of air defense in modern warfare.
