Overcoming rough terrain. New ground robots approved for use in the Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian forces received ground robotic complexes Spextr
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that they have accepted for use various modifications of the ground robotic complexes Spextr. These versatile unmanned platforms are designed to perform various tasks on the battlefield.
"These ground robotic complexes overcome rough terrain and complicated landscape features. Remote-controlled robots ensure safety and ease the workload of soldiers where it is crucial to reduce risks for humans. Depending on the configuration and attached equipment, the ground robotic complexes perform tasks related to reconnaissance, transportation of ammunition, rear supplies, and more. In a specific configuration, they can execute fire damage tasks against the enemy," the Ministry of Defense reported.
The Spextr complexes are compact in size, making it easy to transport them in the bed of a minibus or pickup truck. They are equipped with a silent electric motor and can operate continuously for several hours on a single battery charge.
In addition, Ukraine expects to receive about 100 guided missiles Iris-T from Germany, as well as F-16 fighters from the Netherlands. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated that these aircraft will help effectively counter Russian aggression and strengthen Ukraine's defense.
