A transporter of draft evaders was detained in Odesa region: he faces up to 9 years in prison.
A resident of Odesa region helped draft evaders to cross into Moldova bypassing checkpoints. However, while transporting his next clients to the border, law enforcement stopped the transporter's car. The man faces imprisonment.

Details of the case
A 21-year-old resident of the Zakhariv community was to illegally transport three conscripted soldiers from Odesa and Kryvyi Rih to the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. He was also supposed to indicate a pedestrian route to the neighboring country without border patrols. The clients were arranged by an unidentified person. For the escort of the men, after their successful movement out of Ukraine, the young man was to receive 2100 dollars.
Police documented how the suspect met the clients in the Rozdilna district and drove them to one of the border villages. There, they were stopped and detained by law enforcement. The transporter had his mobile phone and vehicle seized. The court granted the detectives' request and imposed a seizure on the property.
What punishment he faces
The suspect has been informed of the charges under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of persons across the border). He faces up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.
