Kilometer-long traffic jams formed in Odesa region at the border with Moldova: where the situation is the worst
On the evening of August 10, traffic has worsened on the Odesa-Reni highway near several border crossing points with Moldova in southern Odesa region. The largest traffic jams are observed before the checkpoint in Palanka, where the line of cars stretches for a kilometer. In Orlivka and Reni, there are also local delays, while Starokozache remains free. According to the Google Maps mapping service, the worst situation is in front of the checkpoint in Palanka, where the queue of cars reaches almost a kilometer. Here, traffic is significantly slowed down due to passing through the Lower Dniester National Nature Park. At the border crossing 'Starokozache - Tudora', the situation is calm, there are no queues, and the road is marked blue, indicating free movement, which may be convenient for those planning to cross the border today. In Orlivka, at the ferry crossing, there are also transportation delays, but to a lesser extent. Partial traffic jams are also occurring on the M-15 highway near Tatarbunary and Izmail. The situation at the 'Reni - Giurgiulești' checkpoint is also ambiguous: traffic is free when exiting Ukraine, but a queue has formed for entry, marked in red on the map. We remind you that a train running from Odesa has changed its route due to shelling, and it is also important to have the necessary documents for crossing the border with Moldova. The complicated traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway may lead to delays and inconveniences for drivers, so it is advisable to plan routes in advance or look for alternative ways. Be prepared for possible queues and slowdowns on the road, especially in sections before border crossing points.
