Accident in Odesa Region
An accident occurred in the village of Ananyiv community. A motorcycle with a 13-year-old boy behind the wheel collided with a truck. The boy suffered serious injuries and is in the hospital. The police have launched an investigation, and the teenager's parents may be held responsible.
According to preliminary data, the truck driver, a 38-year-old man, failed to avoid the motorcycle on which the boy was riding. One of them was traveling on a paved road, while the other was coming from a dirt road.
Who will be punished for the accident
The police have initiated a criminal proceeding for violating traffic rules that led to serious bodily harm. The vehicles were left at the scene for examination.
It is also being determined how the boy ended up behind the wheel of the motorcycle. The issue of parental responsibility for inadequate care is also being considered. The police remind: one can only operate a motorcycle from the age of 16 and with the appropriate permit.
