Two popular airlines have reduced the size of carry-on luggage.

Against the backdrop of Ryanair's increase in carry-on luggage dimensions by 20%, airlines Air France and KLM have significantly reduced the parameters for free baggage for their passengers. They have now introduced a new Basic fare, which does not allow bringing anything on board other than carry-on luggage sized up to 40x30x15 cm. Passengers will have to pay between 28 to 40 euros for larger baggage. However, these restrictions do not apply to all flights.

The new rules will apply to flights from Paris and Amsterdam to Athens, Dublin, Florence, Helsinki, Munich, Prague, Stockholm, Turin, and Vienna, booked from July 1 to September 9, 2025. Previously, passengers could carry free bags up to 12 kg, including both large and small carry-on luggage.

It was previously reported that the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is closing its base in Abu Dhabi. The rules for children flying with Ryanair were also considered.

The well-known airlines Air France and KLM are introducing new restrictions on free baggage for passengers. Now, passengers will have to pay for larger baggage and also adhere to the new parameters for carry-on luggage. These changes will affect specific flights until September 2025.
