There are casualties and destruction: OVA reported the consequences of shelling in Sumy region.
Massive shelling by Russian occupiers on December 26 provoked fires and destruction in Sumy and other cities of the Sumy region. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Sumy regional military administration (OVA).
According to OVA information, 169 shellings of border territories and settlements in the Sumy region were recorded during the day. 311 explosions were registered. Various communities were shelled, including Sumy, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, and others.
As a result of the shelling, one person was killed in the Krasnopillia community. Destruction and fires in a private house were also recorded. The shelling also caused damage to an apartment building and a private residential house in the Seredyno-Buda community. The enemy troops that survived were forced to retreat to Russian territory.
The Sumy regional military administration notes that the information that Russian troops managed to break into Ukrainian territory in the village of Oleksandriya in Sumy region is not true. This information is hostile disinformation.
