Massive Assault on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

According to UATV: On July 17, 2023, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region, striking four districts with close to 40 separate hits. Ten people were injured as a result. The Nikopol area suffered the heaviest damage, with significant destruction reported there.

Local official Oleksandr Hanzha stated: 'Ten people sustained injuries. The enemy attacked four districts nearly 40 times using drones and aerial bombs.'

The strikes caused damage to:

  • a logistics company warehouse;
  • critical infrastructure;
  • a multi-story residential building;
  • public buses;
  • private homes.

The Zelenodolsk community in the Kryvyi Rih district was also hit. In the Synelnykove district, damage was recorded in the district center as well as in the Vasylkivka and Petropavlivka communities. Separately, reports indicate that an attack on port infrastructure in Mykolaiv killed two people. Hanzha added that 'fires broke out. Vehicles were damaged. One person was injured.'
