Former commander of 'Aidar' suggested which city may soon fall under occupation again.
Currently, the situation at the front is very complicated. The city of Kupiansk could become the first city to be occupied a second time. This was stated by the former commander of the platoon of the 'Aidar' battalion, Yevhen Dykyi, during an interview on the 'Espreso' channel.
The enemy is seriously preparing for an operation to capture the Dnipro islands, which have been under the control of Ukrainian forces since the fall of 2022. There is a possibility that they will attempt to land on the right bank with DRG. Dykyi mentioned this.
According to him, Kherson is currently not under the threat of re-occupation, but Kupiansk is vulnerable.
The former commander of 'Aidar' recalled how Ukrainian forces liberated Kharkiv region. Now, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling enemy attacks in the outskirts of Kupiansk. The enemy has already managed to penetrate there once. Defenders will try to hold the line along the Oskil River.
Dykyi also spoke about the situation in Kurakhove. There are fortifications there, but almost all the trenches are empty. Furthermore, there should be 30 fighters at the platoon strongpoint, but usually, there are only three old men. This is the current situation in Kurakhove, according to Dykyi.
