Six More Villages Added to Kharkiv Region Evacuation: Over 400 Residents Moved in One Week.
Evacuation Zone Expanded in Bohodukhiv Community
According to Novyny.live: Authorities have broadened the mandatory evacuation zone in the Bohodukhiv community of Kharkiv Oblast due to heightened shelling threats. Six additional settlements—Vinnytski Ivany, Dehtyari, Stepne, Korotke, Shuby, and Sinne—have been added to the list of areas requiring evacuation. This decision comes as risks to local residents' safety and health continue to escalate.
Over the past seven days, 427 people have been evacuated from the Bohodukhiv community. Among them are 38 children and 57 individuals with disabilities, underscoring the operation's critical nature. As of May 11, 38 residents remain in the village of Ivano-Shyichyne, and 13 are still in Bratenytsia. These figures highlight that, despite ongoing efforts, some locals have yet to leave.
Organizing Public Safety
To support residents, dedicated evacuation hotlines have been established. Contact numbers are as follows:
- 203
- 067 177 07 40
- 095 285 70 12
- 093 177 64 58
- 102
These lines are available for anyone requiring assistance to leave dangerous areas.
Expanding the evacuation zone and setting up aid channels are vital steps to protect community members as the situation worsens. Officials urge all remaining residents to take advantage of these resources to ensure their safety.
The decision to widen the evacuation zone reflects the severity of conditions in the region and the urgent need to safeguard the population.
Local authorities are actively working to facilitate safe departures, particularly for vulnerable groups. Such measures aim to reduce risks for those still in harm's way.
