The candidate for the position of Commissioner for Defense and Space, Andrius Kubilius, stated that the European Union may increase support for Ukraine if the United States cannot continue to provide assistance at the previous level.
He noted that he would like to remind about the report by the Estonians, which showed that if all NATO member states support Ukraine by 0.25% of their GDP, Ukraine will be able to win. Therefore, if the Americans reduce their support, the EU must think about how to take a share of the responsibility and provide assistance to Ukraine.
