F-16 for Ukraine. It became known how many pilots have been trained in Britain.
200 Ukrainian aviators have completed basic training for flying F-16 aircraft in Great Britain. According to the British Embassy in Ukraine, Ukrainian pilots underwent basic flight training, ground training, and language training.
Royal Air Force instructors trained the pilots in overall aircraft management, instrument flight, low altitude navigation, and flying in adverse conditions. The embassy reported this.
Previously, Ukrainian pilots and mechanics trained on French Mirage 2000-5F aircraft after six months of training. This information was provided by the French Aid to Ukraine press service.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that Ukraine will receive Mirage 2000 aircraft at the beginning of 2025, with the first three fighters arriving in the first quarter of that year. The aircraft will be equipped with missiles and bombs for conducting ground combat missions.
Next year, Norwegian servicemen will help Ukrainian pilots train on F-16 aircraft in Portugal.
According to a report by The New York Times, Ukraine will have no more than 10 F-16 aircraft on the battlefield by 2024, according to American officials.
