Actor Andrii Fedinchyk spoke about his mother's struggle with dementia: She does not recognize us.
According to ТСН: Actor Andrii Fedinchyk shared a sad story about his mother's health, who is battling a severe illness. His 69-year-old mother has been suffering from dementia, diagnosed about five years ago. Initially, the disease progressed slowly, but after the death of his father, the situation significantly worsened.
Mother's Health Condition
Currently, the woman is in a private nursing home in Kyiv, under the care of doctors. Andrii and his two sisters pay for her care and try to visit their mother more often. Unfortunately, the illness prevents her from recognizing her children.
“My mother is seriously ill. My father took care of her, but he is no longer with us. We moved her here (to Kyiv - editor's note) to a private nursing home. My sisters and I pay for it and visit our mother. We come as we can. But she does not recognize us, does not understand where she is or who she is. Dementia. Mom will turn 70. Overall, she speaks unclearly – just a mix of words. It was discovered about five years ago. The illness did not progress so quickly. But when my father passed away, everything deteriorated very quickly. It’s a pity because she did not deserve this. It’s a terrible disease,” the star shocked in an interview with Alina Dorotiuk.
Recently, composer Yevhen Rybchinsky also shared information about his serious illness and the need for two surgeries.
