Fedorov Signals Further Military Command Changes After Talks with Zelensky and Syrskyi.
Ukraine’s Military Leadership Faces New Shifts
According to 5 канал — Політика: Mykhailo Fedorov has announced additional changes are coming to Ukraine’s military command structure, confirming that ongoing discussions with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, are still in progress. This statement follows a formal request from a group of lawmakers who asked the president to consider dismissing Syrskyi from his post.
Fedorov stressed that
“changes will definitely happen,”and expressed gratitude for public support, saying:
“You thanked me for Mriia and Diia. For my part, I thank you for hope.”These remarks signal a readiness to take on new challenges and adjust the country’s military strategy. He also thanked veterans and active-duty soldiers, adding:
“I have never felt such responsibility, even in government roles. I am grateful to veterans and troops for holding the front line and upholding honor.”
Presidential Consultations and Next Steps
President Zelensky has already held consultations with Fedorov and Syrskyi to discuss potential changes in the top leadership of the Armed Forces. At the same time, the president is considering appointing a new commander-in-chief. Fedorov noted that dialogue continues and expressed optimism, stating:
“I believe everything will work out.”
These developments reflect an acceleration of processes within Ukraine’s military sphere, which could significantly shape the country’s future trajectory. The proposed leadership shifts may be a response to the current challenges Ukraine faces amid the war. Strengthening military strategy and reshuffling senior posts in the Armed Forces could indicate a drive to adapt and improve the effectiveness of defense operations. Continued talks among key government figures highlight the need for coordinated action to achieve shared goals in protecting the nation.
