Finland and Sweden do not impose restrictions on Ukraine's use of provided weapons for strikes against Russia
Foreign Ministers of Finland and Sweden confirmed that they do not restrict Ukraine's use of weapons provided to them for attacks on Russian territory. This was reported during a joint briefing in Helsinki.
The Finnish Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, noted that the only requirement is the use of weapons in accordance with international law. Her Swedish colleague, Maria Malmer Stenergard, supported this position, emphasizing that the weapons can be used against Russia, not just Ukraine.
It should be noted that Finland had previously stated the absence of restrictions on the use of weapons provided to Ukraine. Additionally, Polish Foreign Minister, Radek Sikorski, supported Ukraine, stating that it has the right to attack airbases from which Russian bombers take off.
