G7 postponed to avoid Trump's birthday: details of France's decision.
According to ТСН: France has changed the start date of the G7 summit to June 15 to avoid coinciding with the 80th birthday of US President Donald Trump.
The event will take place from June 15 to 17 in the city of Évian-les-Bains, located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The office of French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized that the new schedule is a "result of consultations with G7 partners".
However, according to sources from Politico, the rescheduling of the summit also occurred to avoid coinciding with a boxing match at the White House, held in honor of Trump's 80th birthday.
Possible formation of a new alliance
It should be recalled that on December 11, 2025, Politico reported on the possibility of creating a new international alliance called Core 5. This alliance could include Russia and China as an alternative to the G7. The idea arose against the backdrop of a review of the national security strategy, although it is officially denied, and Europe is not considered in the theoretical composition of the group.
The change in the date of the G7 summit demonstrates how important it is for the international community to consider not only political but also cultural events. This event promises to be an important platform for discussing global issues, so the date change makes sense in the context of optimizing the participation of world leaders.
