There were 10 battles in Kurakhove in one day

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 10 battles in the Kurakhove area. This direction is one of the hottest on the entire front of the Russian-Ukrainian war. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Our forces are repelling the occupiers, who have a significant advantage in personnel and equipment, attacking with the support of artillery and aviation,” it is stated in the General Staff's report.

The defenders report that the enemy is conducting active assault actions on the southeastern outskirts of the city in their attempts to seize Kurakhove. The enemy is trying to capture the road junction and the block of apartment buildings in the southern part of the city.

“To do this, the enemy is infiltrating sabotage and reconnaissance groups to capture important administrative and industrial facilities and structures located in the central part of the city,” the General Staff's report says.

There are cases of using sabotage and reconnaissance groups disguised as civilians. To prevent such actions, counter-sabotage measures are being conducted.

“The command is making all necessary decisions, taking into account the complexity of the situation,” they add in the General Staff.

It is recalled that the enemy continues to push into the central part of Kurakhove, which was reported by the DeepState project yesterday. A video has also been circulated showing Russian occupiers running past houses, taking down Ukrainian symbols, and hanging the RF flag on the building of the Kurakhove city council.

In addition, four fighters from the Ukrainian Defense Forces were captured.

General Staff: Russia is waging a hybrid war against Ukraine

The General Staff reminded that Russia continues its hybrid war against Ukraine. While supporting the advance of its troops on the ground, the enemy is actively conducting special operations in the information space.

“As part of the Kurakhove operation, the enemy is spreading distorted information about the situation in the city. Therefore, we urge to follow information hygiene and trust official sources. Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the military addressed the citizens.

Earlier, units of the mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” repelled a massive assault by Russian occupiers in the Siversky direction. The enemy made 8 attempts to break through, but all attacks were stopped with heavy losses for the enemy.

It is noted that Ukrainian troops have restored their positions near Vovchansk. Enemy troops have also advanced near Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Robotyne and in the Kursk region.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces have recently advanced in the Kursk region, south of Daryno.

Russian troops are entering Toretsk in small groups and trying to establish themselves in buildings, but suffer heavy losses.
