More than 2 thousand volunteers have joined military units without the involvement of the TCC

Since October 1, more than 2 thousand volunteers have joined selected military units without the involvement of the Theoretical Center for Personnel Support (TCC). This was reported by the head of the Main Personnel Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Roman Horbach.

The government has adopted a resolution that allows military units to mobilize citizens who wish to serve during mobilization without the involvement of the TCC and the Service of Professional Military Service (SPS).

According to Horbach, since October 1, more than 2 thousand individuals have taken advantage of this opportunity, of which 700 - in October and over 1300 - in November.

“The recruitment system continues to evolve. At the initiative of the General Staff, mechanisms are being implemented that provide more opportunities for citizens who wish to undergo military service during mobilization, specifically in their own choice of military unit,” he added.

The head of the Main Personnel Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also noted that within the military recruitment system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five centers operate, including in the Ground Forces and Air Assault Forces, Naval Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, and Special Operations Forces.

“In the near future, the establishment of another recruitment center in the Drone Forces is planned. Active work is underway to form staffing units for recruitment at the level of combat brigades by the end of 2024. The project provides for the creation of separate groups of recruiters from three to seven people in each unit depending on its numerical composition,” Horbach reported.

At the same Time, Horbach clarified that the most effective tool for attracting to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other structures of the security and defense forces is through mobilization.

Combat military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive staffing units for recruitment. This was reported on the page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

“The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is calling on brigade commanders to establish staffing recruiting units. According to the organizational directive, it is planned to form staffing recruitment units in combat military units,” the message reads. This initiative will allow commanders to improve the organization and support of recruitment activities for volunteers, the General Staff noted.

Men who have not reached the official age for mobilization of 18-25 years are planned to be encouraged to voluntarily join the Armed Forces of Ukraine through a system of motivational contracts. The conditions of such contracts are currently being developed in the Ministry of Defense.
