Hero of Ukraine Told How the Training in Germany Was.

Ukrainian soldiers who trained in Germany gained valuable experience that will be useful in the future, said the commander of the Bradley M2 combat vehicle Aleksandr Krokovets in an interview with the publication «Glavkom».

During the training, soldiers honed their skills at various levels: squads, platoons, battalions, and conducted battle rehearsals using electronic systems.

«I don't know how it was for others, but what we had was the highest level. First, the crews honed their skills. At the same Time, the infantry honed their skills. Then jointly in squads, then at the platoon level, then companies, then battalions. We went through coordination. There was even a rehearsal with our partners on how everything would look on the battlefield. There was a rehearsal of both offense and defense. The rehearsal was using electronic systems that show how much ammunition I used, how much is left. This was already after the simulators. And on the simulators, we trained on the M3 Bradley, shot down helicopters, planes. Everything worked out», - said Krokovets.

The commander was impressed by the almost real conditions of the training and the explanations from translators regarding the equipment in Germany. He also noted that although they trained on the M3 Bradley, in Ukraine they received the M2 Bradley and would like to have a Ukrainian version of this vehicle with certain improvements.

Krokovets also noted that Ukrainian soldiers showed allies greater capabilities of the equipment and opened up new possibilities for its use.

«One of their lieutenant colonels said that he has been working with the Bradley for 25 years but did not know such things could be done with this vehicle. You just need to use your imagination. Apparently, there is a protocol for using the vehicle that our partners adhere to. But if you go beyond it, new possibilities open up, which we showed. We were told to use the machines as we wish, learn, this is for you», - emphasized the military officer.

The commander also added that Ukrainian soldiers gained extensive experience in repairing equipment right on the battlefield.

He also noted that the vehicles on which they trained had participated in the Iraq operation «Desert Storm».

Ukrainian soldiers tested the accuracy of the M2 Bradley on mannequins of Russian soldiers.
