Drone Attack on Belgorod Region, Russia
The governor of the Belgorod region of Russia, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported a drone attack on the region and a power outage affecting six settlements. He stated this on Telegram on the night of December 26.
«The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Graivoron district using drones,» he said.
The governor claims that an electric transmission line was damaged as a result of explosive devices being dropped.
«The residents of the villages Gora-Podil, Glotove, Kozinka, Novostroivka-First, as well as the evacuated settlements Bezimennoe and Novostroivka-Second are temporarily without electricity,» he added.
In recent days, such attacks have become somewhat of a norm. On the night of December 22, unidentified drones attacked an oil depot in the village of Stalnoy Kony Orlovskaya region. As well, explosions occurred in the cities of Kazan and Rostov on December 21.
As a result of the drone attack in the city of Kazan, a plan named «Carpet» was declared. The airport was temporarily closed, and some high-rise buildings sustained damage from the explosions.
Additionally, on December 19, drones flew into the Rostov region and an oil refinery came under fire.
Earlier, missile attacks had already been recorded in the Rostov region, and air defense forces shot down 10 missiles. It was later revealed that the missile attack targeted the «Kam'yansky Combine» - one of the largest chemical enterprises in Russia that produces fuel for missiles.
