HUR evacuated injured soldiers on 4 helicopters: how sanitary aviation works.
According to information from the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with medical teams, the aerial transportation of injured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out. Four helicopters with the necessary medical equipment delivered critically wounded soldiers under medical supervision.
The evacuation process is detailed in HUR's message — the evacuation was conducted very quickly, including providing assistance to immobile soldiers. A medic with the call sign 'Tourist' emphasized the crews' readiness to perform life-saving missions, providing necessary medical assistance during the flight.
Who helped acquire the helicopters
The acquisition of the helicopters became possible thanks to civil society initiatives. The 'Donate to Evacuate' campaign by students of the Kyiv School of Economics united students, teachers, businesses, and concerned Ukrainians to raise funds for the purchase of helicopters. One of the helicopters was fully financed by the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
HUR emphasized that sanitary aviation constantly carries out missions to rescue military and civilians during complex operations. Since the beginning of hostilities, sanitary aviation has saved over 600 lives, including children.
It was also reported that HUR's anti-drones destroy the drones of Russian occupiers right in the sky, and the Ground Forces showed a video of the evacuation of an injured soldier from the combat zone using a robotic complex.
