HAMAS handed over an unknown body instead of a hostage: what is known.
Transfer of bodies by HAMAS
According to The Sun: Israel believes that the HAMAS group handed over the body of an unknown person instead of one of the hostages last night. Along with this, they also provided four more bodies, three of which have already been confirmed as Israeli hostages.
As noted by one of the security officials who spoke with Jewish media, there is a suggestion that the mysterious body belongs to a deceased resident of Gaza.
“We believe that the body that was handed over is not a hostage, but rather belongs to those who died at the scene.”
It is worth recalling that this is not the first case in which bodies are handed over without clear identification, causing concern among relatives of Ukrainian citizens.
These events highlight the ongoing tension and lack of clarity regarding the situation with hostages. The absence of proper identification of the bodies only worsens the emotional state of families waiting for news about their loved ones. The situation remains complex, and hopes for transparency from the parties are significantly decreasing.
