A man in Kharkiv region committed violence against his minor daughters. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Lozivskyi District Court of Kharkiv found a 43-year-old man guilty of raping his two minor daughters. The defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment. Additionally, information concerning the convicted individual will be included in the Unified Registry of Persons Convicted for Crimes against Sexual Freedom and Inviolability of Minors.

The investigation revealed that in Lozivskyi District of Kharkiv region, the man systematically raped his daughters since spring 2022. The children are aged 9 and 13. The man committed the violence when he was left alone with the daughters. He ordered them not to tell anyone about it.

The defendant was exposed in October of last year. He was in custody awaiting the verdict.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Amil Omarov, insisted on the strictest punishment for the defendant.

'At a time when a full-scale war is ongoing, our common goal is to preserve our future, our heritage, what we live for - our children. However, the accused disregarded and devalued all of this with his actions. The children could not feel safe even in their own family.'

The Kharkiv resident did not admit his guilt. The decisive evidence of the defendant's guilt were consistent testimonies of the victims, results of forensic medical and psychological examinations, video materials from investigative experiments, as well as the conclusion of the polygraph research.

'This verdict confirms: everyone who commits a crime against a child will face the strictest punishment. Our children are the most precious thing we have, and every case where they have been harmed is a matter of honor for prosecutors.'

It is worth noting that in Kyiv region, during the response to a report of domestic violence, a man detonated a grenade. As a result of the explosion, five law enforcement officers were injured.

Earlier, in Poland, a man illegally held a 51-year-old Ukrainian citizen for several days. The suspect has been arrested and faces prison time.

The defendant in the case of violence against daughters in Kharkiv region was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. In a joint effort with the prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies, convincing evidence was collected that confirmed the defendant's criminal actions. Crimes against innocent children do not go unpunished, and justice responds to such cases with the strictest measures.
