The injured man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but his death was confirmed at 8 PM. His identity has not yet been established.

The festival took place in picturesque Ubrique, in the southwestern part of Spain, celebrating the tenth anniversary of Toro del Gayumbo. As part of the festivities, two bulls were released into the streets: the first at 12:30 PM, and the second, named Musquetero, attacked the victim at 6:30 PM.

In a statement, city council officials announced a day of mourning on Monday, coinciding with the day of the patron saint.

“We want to express our sincere condolences and solidarity with the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased,”
