According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs report for 2025, by 2030, 92 million jobs are expected to be lost worldwide due to AI; however, at the same time, 170 million new jobs will be created, resulting in a net gain of 78 million.

Employees who assist companies in automating processes with AI robots experienced a salary increase of 51 percent over the year, while senior data scientists earned nearly one-third more.

At the same time, traditional roles, such as AI engineers, saw a salary decline of 26 percent due to increased competition in this area.

The average salary in the AI sector is £65,636, significantly higher than the national average, with the highest-paid position being algorithm specialists earning around £100,634.

David Livesley, 52, engineer at Universal Robots, states: “Automation touches nearly every aspect of our lives, so the opportunities are limitless.”

David believes this opens many pathways for career growth and allows for the exploration of new opportunities. “If you are just starting out after college or university, having qualifications gives a potential employer insight into your skills. However, having specialized education in robotics is not critically important.”

“All my knowledge about automation has been acquired through practical experience. If you’re older, don’t let the lack of specific qualifications hold you back - there are plenty of opportunities, just seize them.”

Salary overview in the industry

Stylianos Takidis, head of data and analytics at CV-Library.co.uk, notes: “Overall, AI-related roles have seen a 0.5% decrease in annual computations, reflecting a competitive market.”

Takidis also added that positions such as robotic software engineers and senior data scientists are gaining momentum, possibly due to the growing demand for automation and the need for data-driven strategies.

Current state of the job market

British workers are the most confident in Europe in understanding their pay statements, although a quarter of them are still uncertain about it.

Among British employees, 74 percent are satisfied with their pay calculations, but 24 percent struggle with understanding tax deductions.

Unfortunately, 18 percent are unsure whether they can identify potential underpaid earnings, as indicated by a study from payroll software provider PayFit.

PayFit CEO Firmin Zocquet stated: “Payroll processing remains one of the main issues in employees' everyday lives.”

Nevertheless, workers in the UK have the highest trust in their employers: 94 percent believe their pay statements are accurate.

Current trends among job seekers

Research shows that nearly a quarter of job seekers have a career gap of over a year.

This figure has significantly increased from 18 percent in 2020, indicating a rise in prolonged unemployment.

Currently, one-third of resumes have a gap of six months.

Jasmine Escalera from LiveCareer UK said: “Career gaps are now the norm, not the exception.”

She also noted that these changes are driven by layoffs, the need for training, or life transitions, and urged employers to adjust their expectations.

The impact of cadets on modern society

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of boys dropping out of school has increased by 40 percent.

At the same time, toxic influences on youth are on the rise.
