Who is the leader of Ukrainian sympathy among European politicians? Survey data.


Ukrainians most sympathize with Macron and Zelensky
According to sociological research, the leader of sympathy among Ukrainians is the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. 26% of respondents view him positively, and 51% have a rather positive opinion. 13% of the population have a negative or rather negative attitude towards the politician.
The research also revealed support for the following foreign politicians:
- President of Poland Andrzej Duda - 17% fully positive and 55% rather positive;
- President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen - 33% fully positive and 35% rather positive;
- Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz - 10% fully positive and 48% rather positive;
- Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer - 21% fully positive and 34% rather positive;
- President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan - 9% fully positive and 48% rather positive.
The research was conducted on 1,200 respondents aged over 18 across Ukraine, excluding the occupied territories. The margin of representativeness was no more than 2.8%.
Ukrainians show the least support for the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban (11%), the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Lukashenko (8%), and the Russian leader Putin (1%).
The attitude towards President Zelensky was distributed as follows: 32% of respondents fully trust him, 33% rather trust him, 15% rather distrust him, and 19% fully or rather distrust him.
The research also showed that 91% of participants categorically disagree with negotiations between the USA and Russia on resolving the war without Ukraine's participation. Meanwhile, 64% of Ukrainians support direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
It is worth noting that Ukrainians have shifted to a more positive attitude towards most politicians compared to last year. For Macron and Starmer, these are the highest figures in the history of surveys.
