Drones and Guided Bombs Sweep Across Ukraine: Which Regions Face the Greatest Threat.
Movement of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Guided Aerial Bombs
According to Espreso.tv: This report tracks the movement of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and guided aerial bombs (GABs) from Russian territory into Ukrainian regions. At 17:28, a group of UAVs was recorded departing from Russia’s Kursk Oblast heading toward Sumy and Romny. Subsequent observations at 18:02 showed UAVs moving across northern and eastern Sumy Oblast, specifically toward Sumy, Konotop, Krolevets, and Hlukhiv. At 19:13, another UAV group from Kursk Oblast was spotted heading for Romny, and at 19:23, a UAV from eastern Sumy Oblast moved toward Lebedyn. At 19:39, yet another UAV group from Kursk Oblast was recorded continuing its course toward Romny, while at 19:46, GABs from Kursk Oblast were also observed flying toward eastern Sumy Oblast.
UAV Tracking and Activity
At 20:00, a UAV group continued moving from eastern Sumy Oblast toward southern Chernihiv Oblast and northern Poltava Oblast. By 20:41, multiple UAV groups were observed in Sumy Oblast heading into Chernihiv and Poltava regions. Meanwhile, at 17:28, a UAV was recorded heading toward Kharkiv from the east. At 18:02, a UAV in northern Kharkiv Oblast moved toward Chuhuiv; at 18:55, one from Luhansk Oblast headed toward Balakliia; and at 19:04, a UAV from Russia’s Belgorod Oblast moved toward Bohodukhiv.
Additional observations showed that at 19:41, a UAV from Belgorod Oblast headed toward Chuhuiv, and at 20:13, GABs were recorded heading toward northern Kharkiv Oblast. At 20:41, a UAV in eastern Kharkiv Oblast moved westward, while at 19:09, a UAV from northern Kyiv Oblast headed toward Kyiv. Also, at 18:50, UAVs in northern Chernihiv Oblast moved along the border toward Kyiv Oblast, and at 19:44, jet-powered UAVs in northern Chernihiv Oblast continued this course.
At 20:41, a group of UAVs in northern Kyiv Oblast moved westward along the border with Belarus, and at the same time, a UAV from Russia’s Bryansk Oblast was recorded heading toward Chernihiv Oblast. Separately, at 18:50, a UAV from northern Poltava Oblast moved toward Myrhorod, and at 19:37, one from central Poltava Oblast headed toward Kremenchuk. At 19:52, a UAV from the south moved toward Kryvyi Rih, and at 19:54, GABs were directed toward Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. At 18:47, a UAV from the Black Sea moved toward Tatarbunary, and at 20:21 and 20:41, a group of UAVs also headed toward Mykolaiv from the east.
These observations indicate intensive use of unmanned aerial vehicles and guided aerial bombs from Russian territory, potentially signaling an escalation of military operations in the region. The movement of UAVs across multiple directions—particularly into Chernihiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv oblasts—may suggest preparation for attacks or reconnaissance missions. As the conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues, such activities could have serious implications for security in border regions. The persistent UAV activity underscores the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense systems.
