Both Biden and Trump will allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia, - Volker.
Ukraine hopes that the administration of US President Biden will allow the use of American weapons to strike targets deep in Russia - this is the main goal of the Ukrainian side. This was stated by former US special representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker during an interview with DW.
Volker also noted that Zelensky's meeting with former President Trump was productive, as Trump spoke about the need for a just peace for Ukraine.
Regarding future US policy towards Ukraine, Volker suggests that regardless of the election results, the Biden administration may ease restrictions on the use of American weapons.
If Trump wins, the policy may become even more decisive, including the conclusion of a new lend-lease agreement and the provision of financial support for the purchase of American weapons.
Volker also expressed the opinion that any future US administration in the next four years will support Ukraine's approach to NATO.
Regarding nuclear threats from Russia, Volker urged not to take them seriously, noting that this is merely an attempt to influence Western policy and deter it from supporting Ukraine and using American weapons.
