A study conducted in 2020 showed that residents of the United Kingdom have been taking fewer daily showers due to a hybrid work model. Even if some may be surprised by the idea of not bathing every day, it turns out that such a practice is not harmful to the skin. Dermatologist Mary Stevenson says that ideally, one should bathe only once every two to three days, depending on lifestyle. She advises taking into account factors such as skin type, age, and activity level, and determining the optimal washing frequency according to personal needs. Dr. Stevenson notes that using soap all over the body is not necessary and recommends limiting it to certain areas prone to odors. She emphasizes the importance of carefully choosing skincare products during washing and recommends avoiding long and hot showers that can harm the skin condition.
