Festive performance of 'Shchedryk' in Kyiv metro

According to ТСН: On Wednesday, diplomats from Germany, France, and Great Britain, along with Ukrainian artists, performed the famous song 'Shchedryk' in the Kyiv metro.

The video of this festive greeting addressed to Ukrainians for Christmas was posted on the social media pages of the diplomatic missions of these countries.

This act became a symbol of support for Ukrainians who are celebrating Christmas Eve in the midst of war.

After the performance of the world-famous melody, representatives of the embassies greeted Ukrainians in English, French, and German.

“The voices of the embassies of Germany, France, and Great Britain merged in 'Shchedryk' in a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. Blessed Christmas and just peace!”

The diplomats thanked the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the artists of Open Opera Ukraine, and the National House of Music for the opportunity for a joint performance, as well as the Kyiv metro for their assistance in organizing the filming.

Let us remind you that on December 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia rejected the proposal for a Christmas truce and continues to strike, killing people during the Christmas Eve celebrations.

The performance of 'Shchedryk' against the backdrop of the difficult situation in the country highlights the readiness of Ukrainians to celebrate, despite the challenges. This initiative of the diplomats has become a kind of gesture of solidarity and support, which can be perceived as an important symbol of unity in wartime.
