This event initially took place in the Milton Keynes theme park, but has since expanded to three locations - Milton Keynes, Warrington, and Rotherham, and will run from mid-October to early March.

New Location

This year, guests will be able to enjoy a light trail at Gulliver's Valley Resort, located between Rotherham and Sheffield.

Each year, the event has a unique theme that includes various 'dream worlds' featuring fairy tale characters and icons of classic literature set to music accompanying a mile-long route.

Expect to see glowing dinosaurs, giant light sculptures, and 'magical portals into dream worlds'.

To ensure visitor comfort, dog evenings, free parking, and food purchasing options will be available in each park.

Last year, the trail in Milton Keynes featured over 7,000 lanterns and 63,000 LED lights.

The standard ticket price starts at £21, but now you have the opportunity to purchase them for just £10 for adults and children for a limited time.

For an additional £4.50, visitors can purchase a marshmallow roasting kit to enjoy during their stroll along the trail.

Tickets are also available that include access to the park and the light trail, starting from £39 per person.

Comparison with Other Light Festivals

The UK is home to many other popular light trails in winter, such as 'Christmas at Kew' and 'Light Trail at Blenheim Palace'.

Country of Light

'Christmas at Kew' in Richmond, West London, has one of the longest light trails in the UK, spanning over two miles with laser lights and attractions.

At Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, visitors can enjoy gardens with illuminated fountains and trees, as well as visit a Christmas market and ice rink.

Alternatively, you can head to the Festival of Light in Longleat, where adult tickets cost £34.95 and children's tickets cost £26.20, with the option to combine the visit with a safari park.

In Scotland, 'Christmas at the Royal Botanic Garden' in Edinburgh is once again launching its popular light track, which also includes an appearance from Santa.

Visit Winter Lights at Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland, where you can also stop at Lilidorei – the largest play structure in the world.

Although this event is smaller than many other light festivals, entry to Winter Lights allows visitors to explore both Alnwick Garden and the Lilidorei attraction.

Country of Light The 'Country of Light' event has become a popular winter attraction that brings together various activities for visitors of all ages. Each year, new locations and themes make the festival even more appealing, attracting the attention of both locals and tourists. Such events create a festive atmosphere and help maintain community spirit during the winter season.
