“As stated, nothing beats a holiday with Jet2, and now families flying with the airline can enjoy low fares thanks to the new policy.”This opportunity was previously available for families booking package holidays, and it has now been extended to individual flights.
“As a family airline and tour operator, we are always looking at how we can improve the experience for families flying with us.”The main rule is that the child must be under two years old at the time of travel. Additionally, there have been changes to help families – up to three pieces of child equipment can now be transported free of charge in baggage. An extra 10 kg weight for the child's items in the parents' baggage has also been added. Jet2's aviation director Steve Heapy said: 'Putting our customers first, we are making these changes, meaning that all children under 2 now travel for free, whether on a package holiday or an individual flight.' To take advantage of the new rules, there are many upcoming flights for the summer. Recently, the airline announced five new routes for 2026 from its new base in London Luton, including to the enchanting islands of Greece. Among the new flights will be routes to the islands of Corfu, Kos, Skiathos, and Preveza, as well as to Menorca. This new initiative by Jet2 will allow parents to save money on travels with their little children, creating even more opportunities for families to visit new places and enjoy vacations without extra costs.
