Let us recall that this is not the first time that Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region meet residents who speak Ukrainian. Recently, fighters of the "Nachtigall" battalion met elderly women who engaged in dialogue with the soldiers and greeted them with "Glory to Ukraine".
The AFU fighters also showed a video of moving along the street of one of the Russian settlements, where one of the residents could be heard loudly shouting "Glory to Ukraine".
Today, Ukrainian troops continue to advance in the Kursk direction, moving a distance of 1 to 3 km. This was reported by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskii during a video conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Syrskii emphasized that today 40 square kilometers of territory are already under control, and 74 settlements in the Kursk region are under the control of the AFU. Hostilities continue along the entire front line, and although the situation remains under control, its intensity is high.
It is also worth noting that about 500 men who refused to fight were forcibly taken from a military settlement near Petersburg to a training ground near Kursk. These people were given automatic rifles and are being prepared for deployment to the front, despite the health problems they are facing.
