The Cabinet of Ministers supported the ban on the use of software and websites sanctioned by Ukraine
On Friday, August 16, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the ban on the use of software and websites of countries against which Ukraine has imposed sanctions. This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk.
Thus, the government approved a bill that proposes to introduce new types of sectoral sanctions in Ukraine. It is about the distribution of software and a ban on access to resources on the Internet.
Meanwhile, deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak published the text of the bill on his Telegram channel.
According to him, software products may be banned if they:
- are created by individuals or legal entities from foreign states that are subject to sanctions;
- software products created using the source or object code of software products that are subject to sanctions;
- software products developed by persons who are subject to sanctions, regardless of their origin.
- a ban on access to electronic information resources on the Internet that are owned or controlled by persons or organizations subject to sanctions. This includes websites, web pages, electronic communication networks, and information and communication systems.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian economy may suffer significantly due to overheating.
