He noted that Ukraine is currently vetting more than 2,000 candidates for first-instance court judgeships, with nearly 10,000 applicants vying for these positions.

The Vice Prime Minister also pointed out that all European Union member states support the opening of EU integration clusters, which will remain accessible until mid-July.
“We are continuing systemic structural reforms that span years,” Kachka added. He stressed that this work is both challenging and multifaceted, noting, “This Conference visually demonstrates just how complex and comprehensive a project Ukraine’s recovery truly is.” According to the Vice Prime Minister, it is vital that both Ukrainian society and international partners maintain trust in these institutions, as this reflects positive momentum in the European integration process.
Kachka’s statements underscore the importance of ongoing judicial reforms as an essential part of Ukraine’s EU integration path. The selection of judges is a key step toward ensuring judicial independence, which in turn will bolster confidence among citizens and foreign partners in Ukraine’s institutions. The Ukraine Recovery Conference underscores continued support from the EU and other international allies during this challenging period, potentially serving as a driving force for the country’s future progress.
